Jay Wilson says Diablo III Release Date Approaching

Community Manager, Jay Wilson made a blue post over at the official Diablo forums stating that we can seriously expect a release date for Diablo III from them in the near future.  “See, I didn’t say ‘soon,’ so I’m not taunting you.”  Let’s cross our fingers and hope that Jay’s not taunting anyone and we can anticipate Diablo III launching in the next couple months.

Jay brings up the fact that many of the other teams over at Blizzard Entertainment show a lot of sympathy for the Diablo III design team due to the extremely long hours they put in making this game live up to everyone’s highest expectations.  Surely he’s right in this regard.  Since the original launch of the beta, we’ve seen numerous patches and dramatic changes in game mechanics, so we know these guys are working their hardest to make this next installment in the Diablo series the most epic it can be.

Also, if you haven’t already– now would be a good time to put in your pre-order for Diablo III.  Both the standard and Collector’s Edition of Diablo III are available for pre-order through Amazon, so get ahead of the game while you can.

Although this still doesn’t give us any specific date yet, we all knew a Q2 launch was inevitable. So, let’s gear up for this upcoming announcement of Diablo III’s release date and prepare ourselves for one hell of a hot summer hacking and slashing in the burning hells!
